We welcome everyone who wants to study along with us.
We are currently studying the book of Philippians, which is a letter written by the Apostle Paul while he was imprisoned to the church in Philippi, expressing gratitude for their partnership in the gospel and encouraging them to remain faithful to Christ. A central theme of the book is joy, which Paul encourages believers to maintain even in difficult circumstances. He calls the Philippians to live with humility, unity, contentment, and a Christ-centered attitude, pointing especially to Jesus’ example of humility and selfless service. Paul also encourages them to persevere in their faith, pursue spiritual maturity, and focus their minds on what is true, honorable, just, pure, lovely, and commendable. Ultimately, Philippians teaches that true joy and strength come from knowing Christ and trusting God, regardless of our circumstances, summed up in Paul’s words, “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me” (Philippians 4:13).
